Writer director Philip John’s second film Jim Goes Frisco, is a semi-autobiographical, and bittersweet road movie comedy. A depressed man in his mid fifties, invites his ex-wife, whom he still adores, to accompany him on a second honeymoon to California. When she point blank refuses, he borrows a camcorder and goes alone, changing the course of his life along the way. Sometimes, when you are looking for happiness in one direction, it comes at you from another.
